Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Interval Timer mobile application (the “Application”), provided by JustCodeMobile (the “Service Provider”), contact justcode.mobile@gmail.com. The Application is offered as a free, ad-supported experience with optional in-app purchases or subscriptions (monthly, yearly, lifetime) that unlock additional features.
For the purposes of EU/EEA, UK and Swiss data protection law (GDPR / UK GDPR / FADP), the Service Provider acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the Application, except where third-party SDKs act as independent controllers under their own policies (see “Third-party services” below).
Information collection and use
The Service Provider does not require account registration for core timer functionality. Certain information is processed when you use the Application, through the platform store, advertising, crash reporting, or subscription platforms integrated into the Application.
Depending on your device and configuration, this may include:
- Device and operating system information (model, OS version, locale, time zone)
- App usage and diagnostic data (e.g. crashes, performance, feature interactions)
- Advertising identifiers where available (Apple IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android), only if you grant the relevant tracking permission
- Purchase-related identifiers and entitlement state processed by the platform store (Apple / Google) and by RevenueCat for subscription management (see below)
- An internal anonymous installation ID used by RevenueCat to attribute your purchases to your device entitlements
The Application does not collect special categories of sensitive personal data, does not collect precise GPS location, does not access your contacts, photo library or microphone, and does not require sign-in to use core timer features.
How information is used
Information is used to:
- Operate and maintain the Application (legal basis: contract / legitimate interest)
- Improve reliability, performance, and user experience (legitimate interest)
- Provide, measure, and improve advertising in the ad-supported version (consent for personalised ads in EU/UK/EEA via the Google UMP consent prompt; legitimate interest for non-personalised ads outside those regions)
- Process subscriptions, lifetime purchases, restore purchases, and manage entitlements (contract)
- Prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations (legitimate interest / legal obligation)
Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) & IDFA
On iOS, before using the IDFA for cross-app or cross-website tracking (including for personalised ads served through Google AdMob), the Application requests your permission via the system App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, no IDFA is shared and ads will be served in non-personalised mode where possible.
Consent for advertising in EU / EEA / UK / Switzerland
For users in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, the Application integrates Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) IAB TCF v2 consent management tool. On first launch (and whenever required by law) you will see a consent screen where you can accept or reject the use of personal data for personalised advertising and related purposes. You can change your choices at any time from the Settings screen of the Application (“Privacy options”) once available, or by reinstalling the Application.
Third-party services / SDKs
The Application integrates the following third-party SDKs that may process personal data under their own privacy policies. Each provider acts as an independent or joint controller depending on the processing context:
- Google AdMob — advertising delivery and measurement. AdMob privacy & disclosures, Google Privacy Policy.
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — consent management for advertising in EU / EEA / UK / Switzerland. UMP overview.
- RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management for in-app purchases. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — processing of in-app purchases, subscription billing, refund management. Apple Privacy, Google Privacy.
The exact list of SDKs may evolve with app versions; the Apple App Store “privacy nutrition label” for the build you install always reflects the information currently collected.
International data transfers
Some of the third-party providers listed above are based in the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA / UK / Switzerland, the providers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (where applicable) and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, plus the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where relevant. You can review each provider’s policy at the links above for further details.
Data sharing and disclosure
The Service Provider may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate fraud, or to respond to lawful requests, and to service providers acting under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (for EU/EEA users) or the ICO (for UK users). To exercise any of these rights, write to justcode.mobile@gmail.com; we will respond within the time-frames required by applicable law.
Opt-out of data collection
You can stop further collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it using the standard uninstall process on your device. Where your platform provides ad tracking controls (for example Apple’s App Tracking Transparency), your choices apply in addition to this Policy. You can also reset or disable your advertising identifier from your device settings.
Data retention
Data is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy and to meet legal obligations. Diagnostic crash data is typically retained for up to 12 months. Purchase and entitlement records are retained as long as required to honour your subscription or lifetime entitlement, plus the time required by tax / accounting law.
Children’s privacy
The Application is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country, e.g. 16 in some EU member states), and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe information was collected in error, contact justcode.mobile@gmail.com.
Security
The Service Provider uses reasonable safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes
This Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Effective date” and “Last reviewed”. Continued use of the Application after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
